Cash in/out reasons

Depends on your plan

This page is part of the POS checkout, cash shifts and POS devices feature. If it is not in your plan, you will not see it in the menu. See Plans and features.

When a cashier puts cash into the drawer (for example extra change) or takes it out (for example to pay a delivery), they choose a reason. Manage reasons in Settings → Cash in/out reasons. Tills use the active reasons, also offline.

Edit, reorder or switch them off to suit your shop.

Caution

If no active reason exists for cash in or for cash out, cashiers cannot do it — the till shows No reasons are set up for this.

Add a reason

1. Select Add reason.
2. Enter the Name (and optionally the Sinhala and Tamil names).
3. Choose For: Cash in, Cash out or Cash in and out.
4. Tick The cashier must write a note if you want an explanation every time.
5. Set the Order and save.

Switch off or delete

A reason that was used can only be switched off; past movements keep the name they had. Unused reasons can be deleted.
