Purchase orders

A purchase order (PO) is what you order from a supplier. Using POs is optional — you can also receive goods without an order.

  1. Go to Purchasing → Purchase orders → New purchase order.
  2. Choose the Supplier and the Store the goods go to.
  3. Add an item: search name or SKU. For each line set:
    • Unit — the product’s unit, or a pack (for example a case of 24 — enter the pack size);
    • Quantity and Cost per unit.
  4. Optionally enter Expected on and a Note.
  5. Select Save draft.

Open the order and select Print / save as PDF to send it to the supplier, then Mark as ordered.

StatusMeaning

Open the order and select Receive goods — see Receiving goods.

The Open purchase orders report lists goods still to arrive.
