Held sales

Depends on your plan

This page is part of the POS checkout, cash shifts and POS devices feature. If it is not in your plan, you will not see it in the menu. See Plans and features.

A customer forgot something? Hold their sale and serve the next person.

1. Select Hold (F6). The sale is put aside and the screen is cleared.
2. Serve other customers as usual.
3. Select Held (n) (or press F7) to see Held sales.
4. Select Resume to bring the sale back — or Discard to throw it away.

If you resume while another sale is in progress, that one is held in its place.

Caution

Held sales stay on this till only, and are discarded when the shift closes. The till warns you before closing — resume and finish them first if needed.
